BoonHill Wildlife School of Taxidermy
The BoonHill Wildlife School of Taxidermy offers a hands-on, immersive learning experience for those interested in the art and craft of taxidermy. Operating out of a full-time, working taxidermy shop, the school provides students with a real-world environment where they can gain practical skills under experienced guidance. Classes are intentionally kept small to ensure personalized instruction and plenty of one-on-one support, making it an ideal setting for beginners looking to build confidence and technique.
Courses are held one night a week, from 7 pm - 10 pm, over a six-week period, making them accessible for those with busy schedules. The school offers a range of beginner-friendly classes, including basic white-tailed deer shoulder mounts, basic small game head mounting, and basic duck mounting. Each course is designed to walk students through the full process step-by-step, from preparation to finishing details. Participants must be 18 years or older to attend, ensuring a focused and mature learning environment for all students.
We also offer personalized 1-on-1 taxidermy classes for anyone interested in learning the craft firsthand. Whether you're a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, you'll get hands-on guidance through each step of the process in a relaxed, focused setting. Classes are held during the work week and run over two consecutive days, giving you the time and attention needed to build real confidence and experience.
